Jelissa Eugene is a Grand Bahama native with 10 years of experience in education who says teaching is her lifelong passion. In 2007, Eugene graduated high school and solidified her desire to become a teacher by enrolling in the University of The Bahamas’ education program to become a Secondary School teacher. While enrolled, her outgoing personality pushed her to do all things “student life” so she became a member of the College of the Bahamas Union of Students and other clubs on campus including the Emerging Leaders program. Jelissa has been an Information Technology teacher at the Bishop Michael Eldon School 2012.

Coach Eugene has a love for all things related to graphics and pursues photography as a hobby. She is a wife and mother of one, enjoys reading and learning about new graphic design techniques and especially likes creating graphic publications. Jelissa is also very active in her community and is a certified Youth Leader with the Bahamas’ Ministry of Youth. She is excited to join the Ahead of the Game team as a Virtual Coding Coach and looks forward to interacting with young coders.
