Jessica Howard was born and raised in Maywood, IL, right outside Chicago’s west side. She has always loved to learn and share with others, with Math being her favorite subject since she was a child! Jessica gained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign. Upon graduation she worked in both corporate America (Walgreens Corporate Office) and at her local church as Marketing Director overseeing the launch of three new businesses. After getting married and moving back to her college town, she had the opportunity to serve as the Director of Advising & Retention for the College of Business at the University. It was in this position that Jessica observed first hand the impact that childhood education has on a student’s success in college and beyond. This realization led her to pursue and earn a Master’s in Elementary Education with a concentration in Math from the University of Illinois.

Most recently Jessica partnered to open her own small business, a salon and med spa in Lawrence, KS. Her most rewarding job, however, is being a Mom. Jessica’s favorite pastime is learning & exploring new things with her two children - JJ and Jaya (11 and 10). Whether it’s visiting the zoo, a museum, driving through a safari, or even going to an amusement park, she loves seeing the world through the eyes of children. She believes that life lessons always seem to stumble into her conversations with children. Children can teach adults so much, namely how to live more from the heart! What kids naturally embrace is being in the moment and not having another care in the world when they are engaged. Jessica is excited to join the ATGA team and the important work they are doing as a Virtual Math Coach, and looks forward to sharing & engaging with our community.
