Honorary Coach Lia

 Howdy! My name is Lia (she, her, hers) 🤠🙋🏽‍♀️.Although I do serves as a tennis coach, I am honored to join the A Step Ahead Team as an honorary coach in my role as Director of Communications and Social Media Manager.

I am a recent graduate from Iowa State University. There, I received my bachelors in Environmental Science, with a focus in field water quality analysis. I had the opportunity to travel around the world, conduct environmental and sustainability related research, and then convey my finding to the public through mediums that were easily accessible, digestible, and shareable. In this role, I hope to do something similar by sharing the awesome impact that chess can have on our students and families.
